Sustainable Works Virtual Wine, Honey Tasting & Vegan Dinner fundraising event on March 11, 2021 was such a success, and we give a huge thanks to all our sponsors, nominees and participants!
The fun and interactive at-home fundraiser celebrated the achievement of local leaders making valuable contributions to sustainability in our community!
The 2021 recipients:
•Natalie ‘Sunshine’ Flores, Urban farmer, founder of NourishLA and volunteer for the Sustainable Works Student Greening Program.
•Patagonia, an American outdoor clothing company that commits 1% of its total sales to environmental groups and takes action on the most pressing environmental issues facing our world
•Akasha Richmond, Award-winning Chef and Owner of Akasha Restaurant, a Culver City Certified Sustainable Business.

THE EVENING INCLUDED:
- A 4-course, Vegetarian or Vegan meal from award-winning Chef Akasha Richmond of Akasha Restaurant (see menu below)
- Sustainable wine (Rare Earth Pinot Noir or Girasol Chardonnay)
- Bee farm tour and honey tasting from Eli of Eli’s Bees
- Entertainment and games from DJ Lee Dyson
