After a Successful Debut, the Venice Beach Half Marathon & 5K Returns Sunday, May 17

Following a sold-out debut, the Venice Beach Half Marathon & 5K returns on Sunday, May 17, bringing runners, walkers, families, and the community together to celebrate the energy, culture and coastline of the iconic Venice Beach. This year’s event is presented by goodr sunglasses and aims to raise $25,000 to benefit local schools.

Created by local founders Brennan and Michelle Lindner of Generic Events, the scenic course winds through Venice’s most recognizable streets and landmarks, including Ocean Front Walk, Venice Boulevard, and Abbot Kinney Boulevard, passing historic locations such as Muscle Beach and the Venice Canals, before finishing beneath the iconic Venice Sign on Windward Avenue. The race goes beyond the run with live entertainment, a Grease-inspired celebration at Venice High School (famously known as Rydell High), a VIP beer garden at Belle’s Beach House, and a post-race festival in Windward Circle with live performances and activations throughout the course.

The event truly offers something for everyone including Half Marathon, 5K, 1-Mile Youth Jog & family walk, “Grunion Run” for younger participants, exclusive perks and discounts from Abbot Kinney Boulevard shops and restaurants, and a pre-race packet pickup party featuring treats, ice baths, and sauna sessions. Over 5,000 runners and walkers are expected.

Registration is now open at www.runvenicebeach.com.
