13 Jul St. Patrick’s Day at The Penmar Golf Course

The St. Penmar’s Day: Festival on the Green took place on Saint Patrick’s Day, Friday, March 17th at The Penmar Golf Course in Venice. The inaugural community gathering was by far the largest Saint Patrick’s Day celebration on the Westside, with a sold out crowd of hundreds of locals dressed in their finest greenery. The shenanigans began at 2pm and featured incredible live entertainment from the Jack of Hearts (Bob Dylan Tribute Band), The Violet Mindfield, as well as a special bagpipe performance by City of Angels Pipe Band. The festival also included DJs, whiskey tastings, and activities such as shamrock glitter face painters, a photo booth, beer pong, and mini putt. All attendees received a food ticket redeemable for a plate of classic Irish Corned Beef and Cabbage with Colcannon Irish Potatoes or an authentic Irish Beef Stew. Other St. Penmar’s Day offerings included a pop-up from The Gastro Garage, who were blowtorching their famous brioche-style sweet and savory donuts, a Green Beer Garden from Venice Duck Brewing Co., canned cocktails from Flying Embers, and the Bushmills Irish Whiskey (21+) Lounge featuring a DIY Irish Coffee Bar, a private bar, and premiere front row viewing to the main stage.
