24 Oct Little Amal is coming to the Santa Monica Pier!
In the spirit of hope and solidarity, we are honored to help welcome Little Amal, the internationally celebrated 12-foot-tall puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee girl, to the Santa Monica Pier on Thursday, November 2nd from 5pm – 6pm as part of her acclaimed 6,000-mile journey across the United States.
CARS (Community Arts Resources) is partnering with LA-based Kumu Hula Keali’I Ceballos, an internationally acclaimed Hawaiian and Polynesian dance teacher, and his award-winning dance company/hula school – Halau Hula Keali’I O Nalani to welcome her to the historic Santa Monica Pier.
The public is invited to join the performers in welcoming Little Amal with an ocean-front celebration of voice and dance that embodies the creative life force in Hawaiian culture.
