KIM KOURY – President
Kim Koury is President of Spin Public Relations, specializing in special event publicity, marketing, advertising, promotions, and branding. Over the past ten years, Kim’s vision has given the company its extensive experience in the food and beverage, entertainment, hospitality, and music industries.
Getting her start in Las Vegas, Kim learned the ins and outs of the business while building strong relationships with local and national media. Among her high-profile clients were the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Green Valley Ranch, the Blue Man Group, Chippendales The Show, and Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year Clint Holmes. Representing the top venues and entertainers on the most famous Strip in the world helped prepare Kim for the next step in her career.
In 2002, Kim took her talents from Sin City to The City of Angels and spent the next four years as the in-house publicist for legendary music venue Key Club on Sunset Strip. She learned various aspects of the music industry working one-on-one with artists, labels, promoters, and by managing street teams, all the while adding media contacts in every musical genre to her list of contacts. Over the years, Kim has worked on record releases and tour publicity, and has had the privilege of working with a variety of nationally acclaimed groups and musicians including The Bravery, Black Eyed Peas, James Brown, Pussycat Dolls, De La Soul, Slick Rick and jazz greats Larry Carlton, The Yellow Jackets, and Al Jarreau.
Red carpets are nothing new to Koury, who orchestrated enormously successful grand openings at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon,CA, Plush Ultra-Lounge in Las Vegas, Wokcano Asian Restaurant & Lounge in Santa Monica, Versus Nightlife and CrashMansionin Downtown Los Angeles. She also launched the grand re-opening of The Yard Gastropub featuring Chef CJ from Bravo’s Top Chef. Her hospitality accounts have included Lake Las Vegas Resort, Park Hyatt Los Angeles, and celebrity gifting suites for The GRAMMYs, People’s Choice, VH-1’s Music Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Sundance Film Festival, and the SAG Awards.
One of Kim’s proudest accomplishments was co-producing the 1st Annual SANTA Monica Pub Crawl in 2009. Collaborating with the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, the Santa Monica Daily Press, Yelp.com, and Big Blue Bus, she was able to rally the participation of 17 Santa Monica bars and restaurants, bringing thousands of people to the city and filling the shelves of the Westside Food Bank.
Kim has served on the Board of Directors of the Sunset Strip Business Association, the Board of Directors of the Entertainment Professional Publicists Society, The National Concierge Association, and is a member of The GRAMMY Foundation’s NARAS. Her clients can attest to the hard work and dedication that she shows to achieve their goals and objectives.
ROSALIND NAPOLI – Account Director
Rosalind Napoli is a seasoned communications professional with over 10 years experience in public relations, marketing and events for restaurants, hotels and consumer. Rosalind served as the Regional Director of Public Relations for Loews Hotels, where she was responsible for overseeing all of the company’s Marketing Communications, civic and community projects, and events. Throughout her career, she has created media relation’s campaigns for consumer brands ranging from Jamba Juice, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Tasting Panel Magazine, and celebrated chefs throughout the west.
Heather Thomas – Account Manager/Social Media Coordinator
Heather Thomas is a public relations graduate of Kent State University with high energy and passion for PR. She is a skilled writer and editor with detailed knowledge of social media management, marketing, special event production, as well as other modern and traditional PR practices. From email marketing design and execution to social media tactics and management, Heather has a variety of experience in both the corporate and agency setting.
After moving to Los Angeles from Cleveland, OH in 2012, Heather began as an intern for Spin PR, and was thrilled to be offered the role of Account Manager & Social Media Coordinator. She focuses on building clients’ media presence, email marketing, event planning, social media management and tracking and reporting for PR campaigns. Heather assists in conceptualizing, organizing and executing successful PR strategies, and also leads and develops junior staff members. Additionally, Heather writes creative and effective press releases, media alerts and other materials to connect influencers and media.
Sarah Allen – Public Relations and Entertainment Consultant
Sarah Allen is a public relations professional with 10-years of experience, and has worked with a diverse set of clientele and projects including VH1’s Celebrity Rehab, The NAACP Image Awards, NBA’s “All Star Weekend,” The Pasadena Recovery Center, Main Event Red Carpet Lounges for The Emmys and The Oscars, Tweet House for The Sundance Film Festival and The SXSW Film Festival, Treats! Magazine launch, “Hot in Hollywood,” The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, The Beverly Hills Film Festival, Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew Pinsky.
Sarah has developed and executed successful media and public awareness campaigns for a diverse collection of consumer brands including Neuro Drinks, and fashion brands including Morgane Le Fay and Sprouts Kids Clothing to name only a few, as well as scores of personalities, authors and experts. Sarah has also aided in the production of charity events for clients including The Will Rogers Foundation, Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach and Children Mending Hearts. She consistently has secured top-tier media placements, such as The Today Show, Good Morning America, KTLA, Fox News, CNN, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, The New York Post and The View.
